Dreamhost are the lovely people who host this lumbering behemoth, and quite a good job of it they do, too! If you're looking to get your own paid hosting, I'd recommend looking into them.

Yes, hello! If you didn't know, Gunsha hosts people. Quite a few people, actually - we've been doing it for yeaaaars. Recently, though, it's been closed off a bit because...er, it just was, alright? Don't question me!
Either way, Gunsha is opening itself up to the world (again, because I feel like it!) for hosting and things. In other words, the great big lumbering behemoth that is Gunsha (just believe me on this one) is offering to host anyone who needs it. Anyone at all! Honestly!
(Well, okay, not everyone. But so long as you're a lovely person, and you don't want to host a dirty dirty porny site or a site that'll make the RIAA want to come and bite my face off, you're invited! Hooray!)
Of course, you'll probably want to know a little more about this invitation if you're to take it seriously, so here is A List of Things About the Hosting What Gunsha Does For People, Like: (This is the technical term)
- Well, it's free, of course, because we're dead nice. Yay, us!
- We've got pretty much everything you could realistically need to make your site. PHP, MySQL, loaads of one-click install software (you know, like That There Wordpress), lots of installed libs for PHP, even streaming servers, if you're that kind.
- Gunsha can host your webternet site in one of many ways. It can host it on itself, as a subdomain of Gunsha.com (For example, your site might, if you were mentally unstable, be http://jimmyshouseofcats.gunsha.com!) - this is probably how most people will be hosted. However, you can always be hosted on a subdomain of one of my other domains as well (which are listed below), or you could always use your own domain! We're very flexible, we are.
- Gunsha is a gigantic servery behemoth. It's big! We've got lots of bandwidth and webspace! More than you could probably ever use in your entire lifetime, even if you ate bandwidth sandwiches at lunchtime for NINE YEARS. (That's nearly ten years!)
- I'm dead helpful, me. I've always, always got time for hostees, because I'm lovely. (Even when I'm asleep. You see, I plug my brain into AIM at night.) I'm available to help you learn HTML/CSS or any of the various scripty/programming languages you might want to dabble in (I do that as a job, you see, so I'm rather proficient at it now!), or, if you really don't want to talk about web technologies, we can talk about your kittens or the price of scones. I don't mind!
- On a related note to the point above, I'm also able to help you build your site, if you'd like me to. (In fact, I've built a load of the Gunsha hostees' sites for them, and I'm working on a bunch more now! I'm a busy, er...half-man, half-bee, I suppose.) I could list what I can do here, but instead I'll leave that to my personal website!
It's probably worth stating that Gunsha is able to provide you with an e-mail address of your choosing, too! You can have it on any of the domains that I currently own, if you ask nicely. You can have an e-mail address without actually hosting anything, too, if you ask really nicely. Or just, you know..ask at all.

Well, if you'd like to be hosted, it's a fairly simple process! You've just got to contact me (I should probably clarify here that I am Masaki. I haven't said that yet, have I? Oh well.) via one of the methods detailed to the left! I'd prefer it if you were to message me on AIM or equivalent, but I'll gladly just accept an email from you.
"But what should you message me with"? That's a VERY GOOD QUESTION. One which I will answer.
If you want me to host you, I need certain...details from you beforehand! The most important thing is really that I need you to explain to me..what your site is about/what your site will be. Even if it's just "hey, YOU, I want to host avatars!", I need you to tell me what you plan to do with it! (This shouldn't really matter so long as you're not planning to misbehave, but..still, I have to check.)
That's all, really. I'd need a few more details, but we'd discuss them after I've decided whether or not I like you/your face/your kittens enough to host you!

I'd like to say that Gunsha hosts the great and good but..well, that wouldn't really be the truth. Not all of our hostees are mean-hearted devils, though! Honestly!
